New Balloon Operating Rules for Private and Commercial Ballooning
EASA has established simpler and proportionate rules for balloons and has restructured them into one document. This document is called the Balloon Rule Book and the ‘first chapter’ of the Balloon Rulebook, contains the rules for air operations with balloons. European Commission (Regulation (EU) 2018/395) is applicable in the UK from 8th April 2019.
All balloon operations on EASA Balloons, commercial or private are regulated by this new proportionate rule book from this date.
